WHAT does a marketing & communications volunteer do?

WHEN/WHERE: With the exception of event day photography, marketing and communications volunteers can work remotely.

TASKS:
Marketing & Communications is an umbrella term for:

  • Content Development

  • Design

  • Photography

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Virtual Office Manager/Project Management to manage our assets for our volunteer team

Content & Design
We have several areas of focus:

  • Social media

  • Website updates using content management systems

  • Email invitations and other content development for events

  • Volunteer communications - communicating with our volunteers on event topics

  • Design elements for our events.

  • Digital asset management of photos, videos from rides

  • Housekeeping e.g. removing outdated information

IS THIS RIGHT FOR ME? If you are interested in helping Girls Rock connect with riders, then yes! It helps to have ridden with us so you understand what we offer. If you don't have experience or qualifications yet, don't be shy. As long as you have a heart to learn and are a team player, we'd love to hear from you.

Besides the joy of helping get more women on bikes, you will receive the undying gratitude of our riding community! Volunteers should ask for a second raffle ticket at check-in on event day.
